The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is a non-profit organization for the accreditation of companion animal veterinary hospitals in the US and Canada.
Our animal hospital has undergone a rigorous evaluation process to ensure they meet over 900 AAHA Standards of Accreditation to become accredited by this organization. These standards cover hospital safety, patient care, diagnostics, pain management, contagious disease management, continuing education, dentistry, and emergency/urgent care, among others.
Fear-Free Certified Professionals
At Kearny Mesa Veterinary Center some of our vets and staff are Fear-Free Certified Professionals. The Fear Free Veterinary Certification Program teaches veterinary healthcare professionals how to eliminate fear, anxiety, and stress for happier patients, more compliant clients, and safer veterinary healthcare teams.
Being Fear Free aims to reduce fear, anxiety and stress in our patients to create a better visit and healthier pet.
